Late CA Sunil Vashisht was born on 03 August 1956 in Ambala Cantt., Haryana and completed his graduation from Karnal, Haryana and came to Delhi during late 1970’s to pursue Chartered Accountancy. He qualified Chartered Accountant in 1985 and started practicing under the firm name M/s Sunil Vashisht & Co., Chartered Accountants. He worked under diverse fields in his professional career and advised various clients on taxation, project finance etc.
He gained vast experience in banking, finance and auditing and he previously served as Director on the board of Bank of Maharashtra from 2001-2004 and Syndicate Bank from 2016-2019. He has also served as an Independent Director on the board of Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL), A Govt. of India Enterprise.
He was actively involved in various committees of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He was the Ex-advisor of the Banking Study Group and Committee of Members in Industry of ICAI.
